Harvard resident Kamryn Stecyk swam over the weekend representing the Greenwood Memorial Swim Team at the 12 and under Championships. To get to the championships she had to swim some fast times to qualify, and indeed she did just that repeating the results at champs. She swam to an incredible 16th place overall in the 100 yard IM and placed 19th in the 10 and under 500 yard freestyle with a time of 6:44.09, shaving more than 3 seconds off her best time. Kamryn also had impressive swims in the 50 yard backstroke and 50 yard butterfly, but her most notable swim was the 100 yard backstroke shaving almost four seconds from her best time. Stecyk finished the championship meet strong, swimming anchor for the Girls 10 & under 200 Free Relay placing 11th.

Greenwood swimmers and Phillipston residents Sarah Robertson and Emily Parillo recently attended a swim meet over the weekend. Both girls swam with great speed to catapult them to many first place finishes. Emily's first place ribbons were in the 200 yard freestylye, 100 yard backstroke, 1650yard freestyle, and the 100 yard freestyle. While Sarah had her own victories in the 400 yard IM, 200 yard IM and the 200 yard breaststroke. The girls will represent Greenwood in the upcoming 12 and under Champions that are being held within the next few weeks.

Greenwood swimmer and Sterling resident Tomielee Graca took an incredible 24 seconds off of his 500 yard freestyle over the weekend at a swim meet held at Attleboro High School. Not only did he do an amazing swim in that event, but for the first time in his young swimming career he broke the 3 minute mark in his 200 yard freestyle. Another Greenwood swimmer Kayla Desanty of Holden, swam for the first time her Mile freestyle. She did it in a remarkable time of 21:22.00. John Harrington of Sterling swam to two second place finishes in the 50 yard Backstroke and Butterfly.
Greenwood swimmer and Winchendon resident Katie Burns swam recently at a local swim meet held at Attleboro High School. Katie finished with astounding times to catapult her to 12 and under Age Group Champions. She shed an amazing 37 seconds off of her time in the 500 yard freestyle. Also she placed first in the Girls 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:13:53. Katie is on her way to placing well during the next couple of meets.

Bolton Swimmer participates in local swim meet
Dana McLean, 12, of Greenwood Memorial Swim Club, swam in the Worcester Butterfly and Distance Meet over the weekend. She put in some great times in the 50 fly and 100 fly posting 40:13seconds and 1:40 seconds respectfully. Greenwood swimmers, Harry and Tiernan Naughton swam at the Greenwood Memorial pool over the weekend. The boys participated in the Worcester County Butterfly and Distance Meet. They each swam three events posting some fantastic times.Local Swimmers take to Greenwood
Greenwood swimmers swam with impressive times in the Worcester County Butterfly and Freestyle meet. Brother and sister, Ryan and Kaitlin Harty swam strong in their events, putting in some great times. Kelsey Dewey 18, swam with ease to put in a time of 2:24.00 in the 200 butterfly. Other swimmers Katie Cornetta, Rachel Agnir and Allison Cheney had great times, to put them in great standing for the upcoming Championships.
Holden swimmers take to the pool
Kayla DeSanty 12, and Ian Hazelton 15, both from Greenwood Memorial Swim Club put up some strong times in the Worcester County Butterfly and Distance Meet over the weekend. Kayla did a personal best in the 500 freestyle with an impressive time of 6:29 seconds. They both will be continuing to compete in the Worcester County swim meets over the next few weeks.Four Winchendon Swimmers take to the pool
Taryn Holly 17, of Greenwood Memorial Swim Club swam her personal best in the 500 freestyle of the Worcester County Butterfly and Distance Meet. Other swimmers with impressive times were Brandon Jinn 11, Katie Burns 11, and Ruben Holly 12. The meet was held at the Greenwood Memorial Pool this past weekend.
