Recreational Team
The misson of the Greenwood Rec Team is to introduce swimmers to competitive swimming on a recreational level. We will be concentrating on stroke mechanics of all four competitive strokes with some emphasis on endurance. Building confidence is one of our primary goals, and of course to have fun. Parents will also learn about competitive swimming and the role you play as a parent. Swim meets are run entirely by parents from timing to officiating. The Greenwood Rec Team will have a few meets during the season and parents will have the opportunity to work at these meets. The meets will be with teams who are approximately the same level of swimming and share the same philosophy.
Our practice schedule:
Mondays 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Tuesdays 3:30 - 4:30 for 8 & Unders
Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30 pm
